The McLaren F1 - Super Car, although many of the words any
supercar worthy of much of the twentieth century, only the "McLaren"
remains on the best stretch of more than 12 years. The maximum recording speed
of this bolide installed in 1993, is available to participants until 2005! He
is now much faster than the famous Ferrari Enzo or Lamborghini Murcielago, and
still the world's fastest car with the engine's atmosphere!
McLaren - one of the most famous, and at the same time, the
youngest car brands. Was relatively new - in the early 60-ies. Its founder was
a Formula 1 racing driver Bruce McLaren, has managed to act in time for the
Cooper team. Personality, I must say, is incredible - in addition to the set
"formula" win, McLaren is distinguished by the fact that in 1959
became the youngest Grand Prix winner in F1 history by becoming the champion in
22 years!
Appearance of the car gives the impression - a real monster!
A, Low width with a small cottage - it is something of a spaceship from a
science fiction movie. Doors, as expected, making this type of "gull
wing" - the decision still remains the most spectacular in the case of
McLaren F1 perfectly complements the image of the super-modern car.
The car features a central driving position – the driver’s
seat is located in the middle, ahead of the fuel tank and ahead of the engine,
with a passenger seat slightly behind and on either side. The doors on the
vehicle move up and out when opened, and are thus of the type butterfly doors.
The engine produces high temperatures under full application
and thus cause a high temperature variation in the engine bay from no operation
to normal and full operation. CFRP becomes mechanically stressed over time from
high heat transfer effects and thus the engine bay was decided to not be
constructed from CFRP.
Thus, acceleration to 100 km / h from - 3.2 seconds! Maximum speed - 376 km / h! Remember that we are in the car, which appeared on the road in 1992. From 80 to 120 km / h for the McLaren accelerated to 1.2 in 2nd gear, or 2.3 to 4! Acceleration 130-160 km / h in 1.5 seconds in third gear! The numbers speak for themselves and need to be commented. In 1993, the track "Nardo" in Italian, "McLaren" a new world record speed, drive up to 372 km / h! Only 12 years later, in 2005 the results improve the Koenigsegg CCR, which became the target strip 388 km / h "Sweden" has been equipped with a turbocharged V8, with a capacity exceeding 800 l. a.!
