Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Powerful And Fastest Car

The launch of a Ferrari is always a very special moment. The gleaming scarlet bodywork, the rumble of a handcrafted Italian engine, the seductive aroma of tailored leather seats, it all makes for a very heady experience!
To fuel that passion, Ferrari has unveiled its latest model - the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta - which the people behind the prancing horse claim is the most powerful road car ever produced by the Italians.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiarano’s successor has been announced and it’s one hell of a car.  The car is called Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and is the most powerful and fastest Ferrari ever produced.  The all-new F12 Berlinetta will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine mounted in front of the driver.  The V12 engine produces a massive 730 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque, the engine can rev up to 8,700 rpm.  Power is sent to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch F1 transmission.  The F12 is 30% more fuel efficient than the car it replaces while gaining 118 HP.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta supercar will be showcased at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, during which other details like its availability and pricing are to be revealed. Here’s what Italian supercar maker claims that the Berlinetta can do, for it to become the new Ferrari flagship. The 0-100 kph sprint will be dispatched in just over 3 seconds, 3.1 seconds to be precise. Keep the right foot pinned and the F12 Berlinetta will scream past the 200 Kph mark in just 8.5 seconds, going all the way to hit a top speed in excess of 340 Kph.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta also becomes the fastest road going Ferrari around the Maranello test track, with a timing of 1 minutes 23 seconds, which means that the Berlinetta is clearly much quicker than both the current flagship, the 599 GTO and the Enzo, whose timings come in at 1:24 and 1:25 respectively. With the Berlinetta, Ferrari has now moved the overall weight rearward, to make for a 46:54 weight distribution between the front and rear axles. This rearward weight distribution, along with a shorter wheelbase and lower seating makes the car more compact while lowering the center of gravity for better handling.
