The BMW X4 will have BMW‘s top facilities entirely
transmitted, Stop & Start system, head-up display or voice commands for
various functions, navigation, rain / fog / tire pressure / light / system
faulty sensors and other options as leather, wood and so on. After the big
success with the Bavarian X6, BMW pushed to consider launching a younger
brother. And if lately rumors have circulated only now became official: the new
X4 will be released in 2012.
Sort of little brother of the X6, considered by BMW for its
blend of SUV and off as a SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle to), the X4 was raised
since May 2010, with details published in October. 4.65 meters long, it should
resume the X3 range of engines, this one extending from 184 to 306 horsepower.
The facilities should include among others xDrive all-wheel drive, the head-up
display and the Stop & Start. Despite the cut side, the chest should
contain 500 liters, or roughly that offers a compact or a family break.
The petrol engine will start from a 2-liter four-cylinder
engine that will deliver 163 hp and will go up to a 3-liter turbo engine that
will deliver 306 hp.The X4 will also receive an M ultra-performance version
that will be fitted with a next-generation twin-turbocharged straight six unit
and will offer a special body kit. The X4 will be exclusively built at the
Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.
